River up half a foot already today--at 24.5 feet. No levee breaks that we know of yet. Played t-ball with the kids in the yard today. Hope the yard isn't under water by next Sunday!

How You Can Pray

1) Safety. Not that we typically do foolishly dangerous things, but all of this is just dangerous by nature.

2) For no additional large rains up north that would just make the problem worse.

3) That the flooding will not be as bad as predicted. Wouldn't it be nice if there was all this fuss for nothing??

4) That local long-term housing will be available if we need it.

5) Most importantly, that, although God is surely concerned about our circumstances, we believe He is more concerned about the refinement of our character, testimony, and our giving Him glory in all circumstances. It is this area that we are trying to focus on, and be faithful in. We also are reminded that in the midst of a trial like this, a good testimony can really stand out to those watching.

6) That we would be strengthened in all ways--physically, emotionally, and spiritually. All of this is quite exhausting in all of those areas.
